Queens of the Stone Age's bassist Nick Oliveri going to jail..

Former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri says the reason he’s facing up to 15 years in jail after a SWAT team standoff is that he refused to open his door.

The musician was arrested in July last year following an armed police action. He’s accused of holding his former girlfriend hostage for two hours, then refusing to surrender to officers, who forced entry to his home where they found a loaded high-power rifle and a quantity of drugs. He was later released on $100,000 bail.

And he’s confirmed his departure from Kyuss part-reunion act Kyuss Lives after former frontman Josh Homme took out a lawsuit against them.
